Derek Erwin is a Senior Director in LAWD’s Development Team based in Sydney.
Derek has more than 27 years’ experience in commercial real estate across greater Sydney and New South Wales, where he has worked for global agencies and established his own business. He is renowned as being one of the most experienced and successful commercial brokers in Australia and brings deep networks and connections with capital markets participants, private investors, REITs, private equity firms and investment managers.
Derek is well-respected in industry for leading deals in major development site transactions across both industrial and residential sectors, and known for his hands-on experience in industrial and residential land development across greater Sydney. He has a detailed understanding of the life cycle of development projects, with strong property assessment and due-diligence skills.
Prior to joining LAWD, Derek operated his own business for five years, which he established to progress land subdivision developments and off-market development site transactions. Now the developments are complete or in the final stages of completion, Derek is excited to join LAWD, given its reputation as an established national agency, and to focus predominantly on development transactions.
