Dyamberin offers premium grass-fed beef breeding in high rainfall Tablelands

Dyamberin

Set in the renowned Wongwibinda district of New South Wales famous for its grass-fed weight gains, high rainfall and more temperate climate, Dyamberin is a premium New England Tablelands beef enterprise.

Situated midway between Armidale and Dorrigo on the eastern fall of the Great Dividing Range, the 1,728-hectare holding benefits from warmer and wetter winters, to underscore year-round pasture growth, high stocking rates, and fertile soils for fodder cropping and hay production.

Annual rainfall of 908mm ensures an average monthly carrying capacity of 20,377DSE, and Dyamberin is currently stocked with 800 Wagyu breeders. Weaners are grown out to feedlot entry weights of 380kg, and in a good season, the property has the potential to background a further 600 steers.

Dyamberin benefits from 559ha of improved perennial pastures including savvy cocksfoot, atom prairie and red and white clover, boosted by annual treatments of 150kg/ha of single super and 125kg/ha of crop lift across the entire property since 2021.

Secure stock water is supplied by a reticulated tank and trough system, supported by 50 earth dams and local creeks. A solar-equipped main bore and an electric 5 kW pump, equipped with solar as a backup system, work together to pump to three head tanks with 125,000L capacity each.

LAWD Director, Simon Cudmore, said the combination of high rainfall and secure water with assured pasture growth makes Dyamberin a blue-ribbon grazing asset.

“The Wongwibinda District is renowned as some of the highest-performing grazing land in New South Wales, and Dyamberin will suit an institutional investor or a discerning private buyer looking to secure a high rainfall asset with excellent soils and fodder cropping options to produce premium beef,” Mr Cudmore said.

A key feature is 6.5km of internal laneway fencing on the property, including the Dyamberin road, designed for the efficient movement of livestock and vehicles throughout the property’s 27 paddocks.

Two sets of cattle yards include a Clipex pneumatic five-way draft with crush and capacity of 1220 head, while the property features a recently renovated three-bedroom homestead and a cottage, as well as a machinery shed, hay shed and workshop.

Conveniently located 34km north-west of Ebor, 75km from Armidale and 80km from Dorrigo, Dyamberin is well positioned for easy access to feedlots at Glen Innes, Tamworth, Quirindi and Texas; livestock selling centres and processing facilities at Glen Innes, Inverell and Tamworth; and grain handling depots and port facilities.
